Ancestry & History
Fenrir was born on 23 October 2023 as part of our GOD’S CREATURES Litter, from the pairing of Shanti (Nordic Wolfdog Nagandal) and Yogibär of Goldenstone.
His family background brings together two distinct branches of our Nordic Companion Dog project. Through his mother Shanti, his ancestry reaches back into Finnish Nordic Wolfdog lines, while his father Yogibär contributes an important part of our earlier Goldenstone history.
Fenrir therefore brings together different Nordic origins and breeding histories that can be traced back through many generations. At the same time, he represents an important bridge between our earlier Goldenstone lines and the present-day development of the Nordic Companion Dog. ❤️
🇩🇪 Abstammung & Geschichte
Maternal Line
Fenrir’s mother Shanti, officially Nordic Wolfdog Nagandal, comes from a Finnish Nordic Wolfdog line, whose ancestry includes both Northern Inuit Dog and documented American Wolfdog influence. She was born on 12 November 2021.
Shanti’s parents are Nordic Wolfdog Amaura and Nordic Wolfdog Hannibal. Her ancestry can be traced back through several generations on both sides. Her maternal line leads through Amaura to Nordic Wolfdog Aurora Borealis and Sand, while Hannibal was born from the pairing of Littleswamp’s Scirocco and Otso.
Shanti herself is characterised by her calm confidence, highly perceptive nature and close bond with the people she trusts. These qualities can also be seen in Fenrir and form an important part of his family background.
Further information about Shanti’s ancestry and the individual lines behind her can be found in greater detail on her own Ancestry & History page.
🇩🇪 Mutterlinie
Paternal Line
Fenrir’s father, Yogibär of Goldenstone, was born from the pairing of Sonic of Goldenstone and Lappland Dream Wanda. His paternal ancestry therefore leads back into our earlier Goldenstone lines.
Wanda is a Siberian Husky with a documented SKK pedigree. Her pedigree includes ancestors from the old Seppala lines, which is why dogs descending from these lines are also referred to as Seppala Huskies. These lines trace back to traditional working and sled dogs and form an important part of the historical development of the Siberian Husky.
Through Sonic, Yogibär connects several lines that were already part of our dogs and our breeding history long before the present-day development of the Nordic Companion Dog. Alongside Nordic sled dog lines, his ancestry also includes documented German Shepherd Dog and Czechoslovakian Wolfdog influence.
This side of Fenrir’s ancestry is particularly valuable to us because many of these dogs and family lines are known to us not only through pedigrees. Several of his ancestors lived with me personally, allowing me to know their development, temperament and characteristics through first-hand experience.
Through Yogibär, Fenrir therefore carries forward part of our earlier Goldenstone history and combines it with the Nordic Wolfdog ancestry of his mother Shanti.
Further information about Yogibär’s ancestry and the individual lines behind him can be found in greater detail on his own Ancestry & History page.
🇩🇪 Vaterlinie
